Moving dunes in Łeba

Moving dunes are the showpiece of Łeba and one of the most unusual landscapes in Poland. The Łącka dune, as it is referred to, moves up to several metres a year and resembles desert landscapes - impressing children and adults alike.

When is the best time to go? The best time to go is in the morning or late afternoon - avoiding the heat and crowds. Spring and autumn are ideal times for those who prefer quieter walks.

Where to park? The nearest car park is in Rąbka, from where the trail to the dunes begins. The ticket office and the start of the educational trail are also located there.

How long does the walk take? The route from Rąbka to the Lacka Dune is about 5 km one way. It can be covered on foot (1.5-2 hours one way) or by renting a bike or using a melex. On the dune itself, it is worth staying longer - the view of the sea, lake and sands is an unforgettable experience.

What to take? Mandatory: headgear, water, sunscreen, sports shoes. The sand can be hot and powdery - sandals won't do.
A walk along the dunes is a must-do point during a holiday in Łeba. It is not only beautiful views, but also an interesting geographical experience - you can see with your own eyes how nature shapes the landscape.
